A Proven Legacy
Gerry Marshall, Jr.
Gerry Marshall, Jr. was introduced to the public adjusting business as a boy and began working alongside his grandfather and father as a third generation licensed public adjuster in 1977. Just eight years later in 1985, he earned the prestigious S.P.P.A. designation (Senior Professional Public Adjuster) through the National Association of Public Insurance Adjusters which recognizes his expertise, success and achievements in the industry.
Immediately after college, Gerald established the Houston, Texas branch of the family business. In 1983, he spearheaded recovery efforts for victims of Hurricane Alicia, overseeing claims valued at over $300 million. His leadership extended to Hurricane Hugo in the Carolinas and Hurricane Andrew in Florida, where he and his team managed claims exceeding $500 million.
Under his leadership, the firm was named one of Dallas, Texas’ “TOP 100 Fastest-Growing Firms” and was recognized as “Entrepreneur of the Year” by Dun & Bradstreet. Gerald also co-founded the Texas Association of Public Insurance Adjusters (TAPIA).

FAQs
-
A public adjuster is a licensed professional who represents policyholders—not insurance companies—in preparing, negotiating, and settling insurance claims to ensure a fair recovery.
-
We bring expertise in policy interpretation, damage assessment, and claim strategy—often resulting in significantly higher settlements than self-managed claims.
-
Insurance agents are not claims specialists. Their focus is on selling policies, not managing complex claims. A public adjuster ensures you receive what you’re rightfully owed, with no conflict of interest.
-
Immediately after a loss. Early involvement ensures the claim is handled properly from the start, preventing costly mistakes or missed deadlines.
